“I didn’t know that! Montage laughed abruptly.
“Bet I know something else you don’t. There’s dew on the grass in the morning.”
He suddenly couldn’t remember if he had known this or nor, and it made him quite irritable.
“And if you look”-she nodded at the sky-“there’s a man in the moon.”
He hadn’t looked for a long time.
This passage is significant to me, because it reminds me to take a time and look the surroundings around me. I have missed many valuable things that looked so simple, because I was so tightened up with my school works and others. Dew on the grass and a man in the moon seem nothing. However, if we become like Clarisse, we can see the beauty of the raindrops, the feelings of the breeze in the middle of the winter, or the sound of the leaves of the garden trees rustling in the spring breeze. Maybe we were too ignorant of the beauty around us. It is amazing that Clarisse can find aesthetics in the middle of confusion and corruption. This is very meaningful to me and gives me a lesson that I should always be positive and thoughtful of what I have around me, instead of under estimating the world with negative statements all the time. During my break, I will try becoming my Clarisse and take time to study the beauty of nature and the society I live in.

I agree. I think that so many people in today's society, including me, miss so many valuable things in the environment they live in. God has gifted us with so many amazing things. Adding on to the things you have listed in your post, if we could be a little more, just a little more observant, we could notice things such as the sound of birds singing in the trees, or the beautiful change of color in the leaves of trees. I, myself, have made the mistake of taking forgranted of the beautiful things around me. In the book, Fahrenheit 451, Guy thought he was happy, but because of Clarisse, he realized he was not. I think I should try to become more like Clarisse as well.
Hello Christina, enjoying your Lunar vacation? :)
Our country is becoming polluted and we don't enjoy our environment. When I was young, I looked at the moon and stars every night and it was very clearly showing. I searched for Orions, and many many stars, and learned from the nature by myself. These days, living such a busy life, I don't really have time to enjoy them like I use to. Plus, even when I look, the sky is too foggy to actually search some stars. When you listen to the environment around you, did you know that you feel the real comfort? Take time to do so! I open up the window during daytime, doing homework, to listen to birds singing in the mountain right by my apartment. It helps me to concentrate~ This quote was really significant to me too, and nice choice!
Have a great Lunar vacation, although tomorrow's school :)
Many people in this world have ignored their surroundings, and I have been too. I think it really big mistake that people make everyday, and I wonder how the world would change if people concern the surroundings and show their interest in it. I think there would be less conflicts than before because they might understand each other more than before.
Anyway, thank you for reminding me very important thing.
Thanks to you, I realized how warm and touching quote this is. I'm starting to like this quote since you explained the quote so well;)
It's true that people nowadays are so concentrated in their work and don't have the time to see the beautiful things that are surrounded around them. I think noticing small things and thinking things valuable is another way of being thankfulness. When you are thankful, you're just grateful of everything. The sunshine that greets you in the morning, the breeze that fresh your memory, the footsteps you leave behind and etc are all thankful without any reasons. I enjoyed reading your favorite quote and that's a really cute picture of you in the tub:D
A wonderful choice of quote. You have encouraged discussion - fabulous dear!Mrs.Mc.
